Kitten Connections is not your average puzzle game. It’s adorable, yes—but behind those big eyes and soft paws lies a game full of strange logic, hidden rules, and delightful surprises. The goal is simple: connect kittens. The how and why—not so much.
You’re welcome to explore and experiment blindly (in fact, that’s half the fun), but if you want a gentle push in the right direction, we’ve got some tips.
To create a Kitten Connection, touch a kitten and slide your finger (or mouse) to another kitten. You can keep dragging your finger across the screen, connecting as many kittens as possible without lifting. When you lift, the connection completes.
You must connect kittens of the same color (at least at first).
The connection must follow a continuous path—diagonal moves may or may not be allowed (you’ll find out).
Some levels allow looping—circling back to the first kitten can trigger special effects.
This isn’t a “match-three” game. Kittens behave… differently.
Color Chains: Longer chains of the same-colored kittens score more points, and may evolve those kittens into special forms.
Special Kittens: Some kittens sparkle, blink, or wear odd accessories. Connecting them may trigger area effects, chain reactions, or even change the game rules.
Order Matters: On some levels, connecting kittens in a specific order (e.g., light to dark, smallest to largest) reveals hidden bonuses.
Trick Tiles: Certain kittens may teleport, disappear, or duplicate when touched. Others may block connections until “unlocked.”
As you progress, Kitten Connections introduces strange twists:
Cross-Kitten Links: Eventually, you’ll unlock the ability to connect different colors—if they share a trait, mood, or pattern.
Emotional States: Yes, kittens have moods. A happy kitten might boost your score. A grumpy one might sabotage your connection. Watch their faces closely.
Environmental Effects: Wind, rain, darkness, and even the time of day can affect how connections work.
You won’t get a tutorial for these. You’ll have to notice them. That’s part of the fun.
Start small. Don’t just swipe wildly—observe.
Watch reactions. Some kittens react before you connect them. That’s a clue.
Experiment. If something strange happens, try repeating it.
Don’t rush. Some puzzles reward slow, thoughtful connections over fast ones.
Confusion is part of the experience. You’re not meant to master Kitten Connections immediately. You’re meant to explore, discover, and laugh when things go unexpectedly wrong.
So go ahead—start swiping kittens. Trust your instincts. Or don’t. Either way, the kittens are waiting.
