About Agar io

Agar io is a popular online multiplayer game developed by Matheus Valadares and released in 2015. The game is named after "agar," a gelatinous substance used in petri dishes to culture cells, reflecting the game's core theme of cell growth and consumption.

Goal

In Agar.io, players control a small, circular cell on a large grid-like map. The primary objective is to grow the cell by consuming smaller cells and pellets scattered across the map while avoiding being eaten by larger cells controlled by other players. The game is simple yet competitive, relying heavily on strategy, quick reflexes, and a bit of luck.

How to play Agar io

Game Control:

  • Movement:

    • Mouse: Move your mouse to control the direction of your cell. The cell follows the cursor, so wherever you point, the cell moves towards that direction. The farther away the cursor is from the cell, the faster it will move in that direction.
  • Splitting:

    • Spacebar: Press the spacebar to split your cell into two smaller cells. The new cell is shot forward in the direction of your cursor. This is useful for capturing smaller, faster-moving cells or escaping from a larger cell. After splitting, the cells will gradually merge back into a single cell if left undisturbed.
  • Ejecting Mass:

    • W Key: Press the "W" key to eject a small portion of your cell's mass in the direction of the cursor. This can be used for various purposes, such as feeding allies, shrinking in size for speed, pushing viruses, or baiting other players.
